Example 1 – Warehouse operative
"I'm applying for the warehouse operative role with you because you work with chilled flows, and that's where I've spent the last five years.
In my current role I pick an average of 180 order lines per shift with a picking accuracy of 99.6 per cent. I hold A and B forklift licences and have experience of voice picking in a WMS.
I thrive at a fast pace and enjoy taking responsibility for training up new colleagues. I can start with two weeks' notice and would be happy to tell you more at interview."
Example 2 – Accounts assistant
"Your advert is looking for someone who can take full ownership of accounts payable during a period of expansion. That's exactly what I've done for the past three years.
I currently handle around 900 supplier invoices a month in Visma, run the approval workflow and carry out monthly reconciliations against the general ledger. Last year I cut our average approval time from nine days to four by redesigning the reminder process.
I'm now looking to join an organisation where I can grow into an accountant role. I'm available immediately."
